Lost and Found
Our Lost and Found has been moved to just outside of the clinic. If you are looking for a missing item please check in with the office. The items will be out during both conference nights coming up on Feb. 25th and March 1st. All items not claimed will be donated to a local charity prior to Spring Break.
FUNdraiser at Max and Erma’s
Visit Max and Erma’s at Polaris on any Tuesday during the month of February for lunch, dinner, or carryout, remember to mention Glen Oak, and PTO will receive a donation of 20% of your bill from Max and Erma’s. Tuesday’s are Kid’s eat FREE day! See attached flier. Mention this to all your friends, family members and neighbors. It is events like this that help support our PTO programs.
Product Rewards
Please remember that there is less than a month left until the contest comes to a close.~ The deadline to send in your box tops, Campbell’s labels, and Tyson A+ 1-2-3 strips is February 19th!~ Looking forward to see which class comes in first place for each grade level; to earn their ice cream parties.~ Thank you again to all the students, parents and staff that continuously help to make this such a huge success.
If you haven’t done this already, designate Glen Oak on your Reward cards at Giant Eagle, Kroger, Meijer, GFS Market Place and Target. Then make sure you use them when you’re shopping.
Classroom parties
Our Valentine’s Parties will take place on Friday, February 12 from 3-3:30 for T/Th Kindergartners and grades 1-5. Please note, the M/W kindergarten students will have their party on Wednesday, February 10th from 3-3:30. If you signed up to bring an item or volunteered to help with the party, your child’s Room Party Coordinator should be in touch with you soon. If you didn’t have an opportunity to sign up and still want to help, let your child’s teacher know and they’ll let you know who to contact. If you have any questions or if any teachers are having trouble finding volunteers, please feel free to call or email me. Thanks! Glen Oak COSI Day
I would like to thank all the volunteers who helped with COSI day! ~The kids had a great day & it couldn’t have happened without our volunteers! ~~I’d also like to thank BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse on Polaris Parkway for donating lunch for the full day volunteers. ~If you are planning to eat out in the Polaris area, please consider eating at BJ’s! ~They supported us. ~Let’s support them! Hostess Club
If you would like to help out at school, but aren’t able to make time in your schedule, the Hostess Club might be your answer. We are the group that supplies things needed for various events throughout the year. More specifically, the conference dinners for our wonderful teachers and the~events of~staff appreciation week (May 3-7). We have conferences coming up again on Feb 25th and March 1st, and will soon be planning those dinners.~We could use more~volunteers to ensure success of these events.~If you are interested, please contact Angie Luman by email bkyfam@gmail.com or by phone 740.953.5020.
Library Volunteers
Library Help Needed! The library is in desperate need of a lot of help! Books are going unshelved due to the lack of help.~ If you have any time at all to donate (even 15-30 minutes after helping in your child’s classroom) please email Melissa Berry at theberrys@columbus.rr.com or stop in to see Ms. Soozie in the library. **Note: the above email address for Melissa Berry is new.
